I am sending this out to all of you about the terrible death of my son Dancan who died in a very bad car accident on Sept. 4th. His body was thrown from the car and I found him at the city morgue with a big hole in his head and other cuts and wounds. Dancan was so dear to me and having to identify him at the morgue, arrange for his postmortem, look for a funeral home, make all the arrangements, obituary, funeral programs, dressing him for the coffin, preparing his funeral, offering a funeral Mass at St. Michael’s for those around here, then traveling 8 hours with Dancan in a van with others and offering another funeral Mass in the village where he was born and burying him there–I have cried everyday. Dancan was only 22 years old and was such a loving and caring young man. I miss him terribly. The night before his funeral here, his brother Peru was coming home on a motorcycle when a drunken driver hit him and knocked him to the ground causing Peru to be taken to the
hospital where x-rays showed that he had broken bones in his right hand and foot. Peru remained in the hospital and had surgery on his hand and foot. He was not able to attend any of the services of his brother which was a great sadness for him. My expenses for Dancan’s death and his brother Peru’s hospitalization and surgery have used up almost all of our money. Any consideration for our situation will be most appreciated. Please pray for us during this very difficult time. We are praying for you. We love you! God bless you! your brother, Fr. Ted
